It seems that providers don’t really discuss or at least highlight the 9′s of availability to expect, so the default expectation is “all the time” availability which isn’t realistic.

The trust level is “getting there” but with some of those recent outages it does have folks concerned. Still, there are other great use cases for public cloud services that supplement current infrastructure.
