Handy P2V with VMware Converter Troubleshooting Article

If you are like me and wear a few different technology hats, it’s nice to have lists and articles with tips available to get your mind set on the task at hand and to remind you of the specific details of the product you need to use successfully. 

Rich Brambley over at VM/ETC put together a nice article on how to avoid problems when doing P2V’s with VMware Converter. It’s a handy list of things to do and not to do when you need to convert some physical machines to virtual using the built-in VMware tool.  I’ve ran into many of the same things Rich has noted, but since those projects I’ve used other products like Platespin’s PowerConvert, so its great to have these reminders to review.
