Use Windows File Share with XenEnterprise or Linux

I often see posts on support forums for how to move files back and forth between the XenEnterprise host server and other servers on the network. You can use various protocols like ftp or scp, but you normally have to change firewall settings, or enable a service.

XenEnterprise has the smbclient enabled by default, and the majority of the networks of clients I work with have a fair amount of Windows servers, so I created this guide on how to use Windows file shares with XenEnterprise. These steps can be used on pretty much any of the major Linux distributions as well.
